Below you will find answers to many common questions about Moravian Day of Giving.
What is Day of Giving?
A day dedicated to philanthropy, in which we are encouraging alumni, students, parents, friends, faculty and staff to come together to reach our goal of 1,200 donors made to the College and 120 donors to the Seminary in a single day.
Who can participate?
Anyone can support Moravian College or Seminary on the Day of Giving by making a gift of any amount ($5 minimum). Alumni, students, parents, friends, faculty, and staff are all eligible to participate.
What types of gifts are accepted?
Cash, credit card, and online gifts will be counted.
Can I make a pledge?
No, only cash gifts are being counted on the Day of Giving. However, if you currently have a pledge and wish to make a payment on it during the Day of Giving, that cash payment will be counted.
Can I give to any area of the College or Seminary?
College donors are encouraged to support the Moravian College Scholarship Fund (MSF) and Seminary donors are encouraged to support the Moravian Seminary Annual Fund (MSAF). Donors are also welcome to designate their gifts to any cause they feel most passionate about. If you don’t wish to prioritize any one cause, then we encourage you to give to the MSF or MSAF, which is the area of greatest need within the College and Seminary community. 100 percent of your gift goes to your designated area.
Can I make a payment on my pledge on the Day of Giving?
Will my gift be tax deductible?
Yes, your gift is entirely tax deductible. You will receive an email confirmation that may serve as your receipt for tax purposes.
